Hello and thanks for taking a moment to see "my" view of nature.. I am a avid outdoors man and have been one my entire life. Being born in the High Sierras and raised with such natural beauty just steps away from my home it is something that is ingrained in my soul. I am a technical rock climber,skier,fisherman,explorer and realist. I still reside in the mountains (although out of the deep snow now..) and travel the west constantly..
I have been photographing landscapes for many years and am constantly moving forward (I hope…) . I started with film and my own very basic dark room and moved to digital as soon as the quality was high enough for a decent photo.. I have a few cameras but prefer a canon 7D with a several different lenses including three telephotos,(canon,tamron,and sigma.)and a couple favorite primes.. I am a fan of 50mm prime photography and use two,a 1.4 and a 1,8,both canon..I also dabble with Macro and use a 100mm prime and ring flash.. I am usually hiking in to the area I wish to photograph and the equipment has to be durable and fairly light weight..
I do most of my printing in house to keep the integrity of my images complete. I can print up to 17×24 using a Epson 3880 fine art printer on archival luster paper or 100% cotton rag fine art paper.. I keep most printing runs to 25 copies and then archive the master for the current owners protection.
I also maintain and operate a custom woodworking shop for custom framing projects on a case by case basis..
